Who Will The Vampires Get Next?

I came up with a series of images for Halloween.  There is a little commentary of sorts that goes with them.

We must constantly be on our gaurd because vampires are everywhere these days and they are getting to everyone.  We need to be ever vigilant and ready to stand against them.  But some say it may already be too late.  After all they did already get to Dakota Fanning.

Is no one safe?  Who will be next?

Oh no they got Scarlett Johanssen.

Look out they got actor Keith David.

The vampires got to Smallville's Erica Durance.  But Why?

No not actress Sabrina Lloyd.

The vampires have bitten The Mentalist's Amanda Righetti.  Where will the horror end?

No not John Barrowman too.  No one is safe.

Its too late the vampires have internet celebrity and nerd goddess Felicia Day.

Now the vampires have claimed Stargate Universe's Elyse Levesque.

The vampires even got to Japanese model Yuko Ogura.

Run for your lives!!! The vampires have won!!!  All hope is lost!!!

In a sense these images are an offshoot of the dg series and thus all that remains of it.

And remember,
we all live on a yellow submarine.

Turning Off the Self Censor Aftermath

I spent most of the last week making an art series that was part of an excercise in turning off my own inner self censor.  The result was something I have named the dg series.

This morning I deleted the dg series, all of it.

The best way I can desrcibe the dg series that anyone will understand is to call it a horror series.  Maybe it was being so close to Halloween that brought it on but I had something within me that needed to come out in art.  Some of the images used in the dg series were photos of celebrities, some were random ones I found around the internet.

I am writing this because I just want there to be some record that the dg series did exist at one time but now it no longer does.

This morning I was ready to do more work on the dg series.  Then I had a moment of clarity and realized I did not need it anymore.  With the desire to continue it gone I decided to delete it all and free up a little harddrive space.

Turning Off the Self Censor with Shark Art

I have been doing lots of computer art experimentation.
I have also been experimenting with turning off my own inner self censor.
There is a lot of this uncensored work that I am not ready to share with anyone yet.
But in my endevours I came up with something.  It is not the sort of thing I usually do.  It is not the sort of thing I usually share.  So I am going to put it here for you all to see because I am trying to do things different.

Here is some of my Shark Art.

Miniature Bruce Lee does a flying kick into the jaws of the creature from the mighty deep.

The head of Nappa from Dragonball Z is so tough he is going into that shark's mouth with a smile.

And finally actress Hayden Panettiere is at the beach when suddenly... there is a shark.

I just want to say that I have nothing against Bruce Lee, Dragonball Z or Hayden Panettiere.
I think they are all wonderful.
But the point of this whole excercise was to turn off the self censor and just bring these visuals I had in my head out for the world to see.

Pop Art?

I have been trying new things with SmoothDraw3 and Gimp2.
Here is the result of a few hours work the other night.

And here is the source image it was built from.

Does this count as pop art?

My goal is not to make pop art but I do not mind if it happens along the way.  Once I am more familiar with the technology I am using I plan to build character and object models and even draw whole scenes from the stories I write.

The Art is Here

I am going to put all my future computer art development projects here if anyone wants to see them.
I give you Morgan Freeman once again.
